Here are some ways ESC advocates for eczema sufferers:
ESC is asking you to join us! Write to your elected officials and raise your voice with us. For information contact us at info@growit-big.com.
Eczema and atopic dermatitis are often dismissed and seen as just dry, itchy skin. But those who live with eczema know that it is much more than just dry skin, and it can be truly life-altering. Learn more about ESC’s awareness and advocacy campaigns.
Through the power of collective voices, ESC gathered stories from the Canadian eczema community to change perceptions about the burden of living with atopic dermatitis and to impress upon decision-makers that eczema sufferers need and deserve improved access to eczema care and treatments.
To help ESC raise awareness about eczema, monuments across Canada lit up blue to shine a light on the burden of eczema. Participants nationwide shared their photos of the lit monuments to social media with the hashtag #ShiningALightonEczema.
ESC challenged the friends and family of those who live with atopic dermatitis (AD) to “live the itch” of AD for 24 hours. Participants were asked to set an alarm to sound off once an hour for 24 hours to replicate the frustration of itch. The campaign provided a small glimpse of what it is like to live with the condition.
ESC asked Canadians to help raise awareness about the challenges of living with atopic dermatitis (AD) by sharing their own journey with AD on social media using the hashtags #MyEczemaJourney and #MyADJourney.
